We at Village Church, believe that when people pray, God is mysteriously moved to interact for the good of those He created and loves.

God loves you and we want to pray for you.

All you need to do is SMS your prayer request to the number below and sign it with your initials. We meet every day to pray and will be praying for you, your friend or the situation you present us with.

Who will be praying for me?

The pastors and those on the team of Village Church who love to pray for people who are struggling.

Who will see the prayer I send?

The Pastors of Village Church are the only ones who will see your text message. Your prayer (with only the initial of your first name, and not your number) will then be shared with others on our team who have love to pray for people.

What assurances have I of privacy?

No one will know your name, only your initials if you choose to share them. Your mobile number will not be stored on a database, used for any purpose other than responding to your prayer request, and will not under any circumstance be given to anyone outside of the pastoral team, without your express permission. The phone will have a password on it known only by two people on the pastoral staff. At the end of each month, all incoming SMSs and their corresponding mobile numbers will be deleted.

What if I need more help than just prayer?

We may be able to help you. When you SMS let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

Can I send more than one prayer?

You sure can! Send as many as you like as often as you like.

Can I send a prayer now and one at a later time?

Yes, you can, and the time after that and the one after that.

Can I give this number to someone else who has a prayer need?

Absolutely. We would love that.

Do I have to go to a church?

No.

Do I need to know anyone who goes to church?

No.

Do I have to believe in God?

No. We do, and if you don’t or can’t, then that’s ok. We believe God loves you and cares for you and wants to answer your prayer.

Do I have to be religious?

No.

Do I ever have to come to church because of this?

Not at all. We are a church who wants to connect and care for people who don’t go to church.

Is there a cost to me?

Only the cost of an SMS, in relation to your plan. This is a prepaid number and exists to receive SMSs to a phone and occasionally send them. There is no financial benefit to Village Church whatsoever.

Are there any hidden strings attached?

None at all.

Will someone reply to my SMS?

Someone may reply to your SMS to encourage you or reassure you that you are being prayed for. If you do not want anyone to reply simply say that in the SMS you send.
